Welcome To Bonza Bash Summer 2009
Yes, that's right folks – our first ever summer Bonza Bash celebration is just around
the corner!
Just when the summer starts winding down, the time arrives for you to kick up your
heels! Vacation from the typical Northwest summer activities by joining us to celebrate
summer in a distinctly Bonza style! Introducing...
Bonza Bash Summer 2009
August 22nd 2009 @ Fremont Studios
Come join hosts Dave McLauchlan and Brenton Webster whose Aussie flair is determined
to make Seattle sizzle like never before. A summer cocktail party in the distinct
Bonza Bash style awaits you.
Wine + Food + Fun
Bonza Bash Summer 2009 will play host to a wine and food tasting from 8pm to 10:30pm
– all fully included as part of your entry ticket. You’ll also
receive a commemorative Bonza Bash tasting glass, yours to keep. We'll be inviting
wineries and restaurants from near and far to showcase their favorite products.
Not a wine buff? No problem, this is a fun and easy way to get introduced to wine
and try some of the region’s most delectable drops from established and up and coming
wineries. Of course, if you prefer to stick with your regular cocktail of choice,
we’ll have a fully stocked cash bar in operation for the entire
night.
Wineries
Our vintner roster has cultivated other-worldy delights and new treasures await
your unearthing. From the pleasure on your palate to pairing recommendations sure
to spark ideas for your next dinner party, these local favorites are bound to give
your swill a swirl!
A favored local discovery, Darby Winery of Woodinville specializes
in Rhone varietals and has already developed a cult following.
The DiStefano Winery, also from Woodinville, is a small boutique
winery producing high quality white and red wines made from classic varietals grown
in Washington State.
A family intent on creating a rich, flavorful, soulful life around Washington's
remarkable wine world, the wines from Sparkman Cellars are built from some of the
state's finest vineyards using traditional farming and winemaking practices.
The main focus at Barrage Cellars is high quality, handcrafted, small lot, red Bordeaux
varietals along with a little bit of barrel fermented whites just for fun.
Tasawik of Walla Walla is committed to growing a limited crop of premium grapes
on its vineyard bluffs overlooking the Snake River. Their “dedication from vine
to wine" yields different wines every year that consistently offer a sense of the
unique terroir where the fruit was grown.
Located in the heart of the Columbia Valley, Bookwalter Winery has been producing
small lots of high quality wine since 1983. Their lush red and vibrant white wines
are sourced from vineyards that deliver unparalleled physiological
ripeness and depth of flavor year in and year out.
Patterson Cellars welcomes guests to discover and experience their
hand-crafted, red and white blends from their true artisan family-run winery.
At Washington State’s oldest and most acclaimed winery, enjoying wine is a way of
life.Chateau Ste Michelle believes that an important part of creating
great wines is cultivating a passion for them and invites novices and experts alike
to visit their historic chateau to learn more about the venerable art and science
of wine.
And certainly it wouldn’t be a proper Bonza Bash without Australia being represented!
We have two emerging vintners from Down Under courtesy of Epicurean Wines,
a leading distributor of talented young Australian winemakers.
Black Chook topped Wine Spectator's World Wide Search for the top values of 2008
while Woop Woop is known for its rich, ripe flavor that is chock full of quintessential
Aussie character.
It doesn’t stop there... More wineries to come!
Wine Shop
After you’ve made your rounds, be sure to visit our full wine shop where Bonza Bash
ensures that your new discoveries aren’t left behind. Not only that, but wineries
will offer their wares for up to 20% off of retail prices!
Don’t want to weigh down your dancing shoes? No problem - we’ll have a wine
check on hand to take care of your purchase while you enjoy the rest
of your evening.
Party With a Cause
Because we like to party with a mission in mind, this Bonza Bash will benefit the
Seattle Humane Society. They’ve been dedicated to bringing pets and people together
for over a century! Any amount you donate online AND portion of your
ticket price will go directly to support the mission of bringing humans and pets
together! You can make donations at the same time you purchase your tickets on Shindigg.com
(it's integrated and super easy to use). So come out and have a fabulous time while
supporting a worthy cause that impacts so many of us!

Entertainment
We are ecstatic to have this trio on the turntables! DJ Kippy, Victor Menegaux and
Speedy G are headed over from C-89.5 to spin across the sound spectrum rockin’ old
school to new school, all guaranteed to get you grinding. Recognized worldwide as
a leader in dance music, C-89.5 has been playing Seattle’s hottest music for over
three decades. At Bonza Bash, we’re always on to something new and the groove of
this summer’s DJ lineup is no exception. So come on, meet me on the dance floor!
While Studio A ignites your inner dancer, Studio B is a short meander away where
you can step into to a world away. You can check out the auction items, the wine
shop and then have a seat and get a nice massage. Feeling a bit more adventurous?
Then enter the lair of our face painters to further adorn your face or body (but,
of course, you don’t have to choose—get a massage first and then get painted up!).
The Dress Code: Red, White & Bright
Bonza Bash Summer 2009 is a summer cocktail party, so the dress code is “upscale
