Providence O’Christmas Trees
It has long been a tradition that we offer exposure and support to incredibly worthy and important charitable organizations in our community for their fundraising efforts.
This year for our Halloween event, we’re beyond thrilled to welcome our friends at Providence Senior and Community Services. They do amazing work to help support a mix of health care, hospice, senior and supportive housing programs for those in need.
In their own words…
About Providence Senior and Community Services
Every day, Providence Senior and Community Services, a division of Providence Health & Services, provides compassionate, Mission-driven care to over 15,200 poor and vulnerable people of all ages in King County and beyond through a variety of service programs. These include hospice, home health, home infusion, nursing homes, assisted living, a food bank, and health support services and housing for low income and disabled adults. All of its programs depend heavily on the generosity the community.
Charitable contributions fund many programs including bereavement and caregiver support, spiritual care, medical equipment, mental health, rent, dentistry, medicine, and specialty services; the many necessary essentials that provide a better quality of life for the individual and their families.
Our Halloween Charity Project
We are partnering up with Metropolitan Fashion week, who over the past 6 years has raised over $134,000 for O’Christmas Trees, to raise money and collect new/gently used classical instruments to decorate a tree for O’Christmas Tree’s annual Gala Dinner & Auction.
We invite you to join us for the creation of our 2012 Providence O’ Christmas Gala Tree: The theme is Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”. An adaptation of the tale is set to the first movement of the Pino Concerto No. 2 in F Major by Dmitri Shostkovich . The tree will include donated musical instruments and toys that will represent the fairy tale.
The tree will be auctioned at the 28th Annual O’ Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction | Wednesday, November 28, 2012 | The Westin.
Help us by donating any of the following classical instruments ( New or gently used)
